I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
